Special Bonuses? No Problem! This Firm Can Handle Market Comp With Ease
The firm isn't even a year old yet, but it can keep up with the best of Biglaw.
Time and time again, boutique firms are coming out on top when it comes to the Biglaw bonus market. Glenn Agre Bergman & Fuentes, a firm started by a group of former Kasowitz Benson attorneys and focused on bankruptcy and restructuring, white-collar litigation and investigations, and general commercial litigation, is less than one year old, and its already paying associates on the $205K compensation scale, and now it’s completely matching its Cravath year-end bonuses with Davis Polk special bonuses.
The firm paid out its bonuses this past Friday, and associates were quite pleased to see some extra cash added on top. Andrew Glenn sent out a memo earlier today as a little reminder that no, associates weren’t imagining things when they saw more bonus bucks in their paychecks. Here’s the scale:
